newPIC services portfolio

The newPIC chair has selected a series of research-related services offered to partners.
We focus on action-research, and combine qualitative and quantitative methods.
If you are interested in discussing any of these action-research services for your organization,
thanks for contacting Valerie Merindol or David W. Versailles, newPIC co-directors.

  • Action research with
    questionnaire-based investigations:

We administer questionnaires with web-based interfaces, once the content of the questionnaire has been specified with the partner. Such projects last typically for 9 to 12 months. We usually staff 2 researchers for such a project. Deliverables cover a final analysis, documents for wide (intenal or external) dissemination in professional networks, and 2 workshops (incl. one targeted at the internal staff). Such projects require usually a kick-off meeting, a close-out meeting, and 2 to 3 intermediate meetings with the decision-makers commissionning the project.
  • Action research with
    qualitative investigations (interviews):

Qualitative investigations require field-research and interviews. We usually run about 20 interviews per year, dedicate 5 to 8 days per year to field-research and actual on-site observation, and run 5 meetings per year with the staff commissioning the projects. Typical projects last for 18 to 24 months, depending of the topic (notwithstanding the kick-off and the close-out meetings). We usually staff 3 researchers for such a project. Deliverables cover a report (ppt or doc), contributions to scientific workshops, and documents suited for wide dissemination in professional networks.
  • Redaction of "White papers":
We can prepare and draft for you "white papers" on a topic relevant for you. We have two modalities: either the "white" paper represents a service linked to an action-research project, a seminar with experts, or a best practices seminar, or it represents a service on its own. In the latter case, we need to discuss also the various research activites conditioning the elaboration of the report. In the former case, we just need to elaborate on existing data and investigations, complement them, and draft the "white paper". In all cases, "white papers" target a wide dissemination towards non-specialized audiences or professional networks.
  • "Best practices" seminars,
    with intersectoral focus:

We can organize seminars focused on "best practices" analysis for the industry, and have the experience with running inter-sectoral comparisons. We have also experienced that discussions are easier and much more fruitful when discussing domains that are not closely related and do not compete against each other. Typical format associates with a networking lunch and a workshop during the following afternoon. We discuss the invitation of scholars with the organization commissioning the seminar. We organize activities, create the supporting documents, and facilite the activities with the participants.

  • Seminars with experts:
We can organize seminars on topics of interest for either scholars or professional networks. Typical format associates with a business lunch and a workshop during the following afternoon. We discuss the invitation of scholars with the organization commissioning the seminar. We organize activities, create the supporting documents, and facilite the activities with the participants.

  • Executive education programs
    (M or D level):

We have the experience of continuous education programs for different audiences: managers or engineers. We can easily design a program specifically targetted at your own needs and expectations. We can also elaborate on PSB initial education programs (at M level) and on PSB initiatives at PhD and DBA programs if you want to go as far as proper M or D-levels degrees.
